Yogurt Failure

It did not work, not at all. I think it was too hot.

Lynn, what is a wonder box, and how do I get one?

You actually MAKE one! ; D

I know I've mentioned my wonder box before and how much I love to use it to keep things cool OR cook something hot and keep it hot! Great for emergency preparedness. Or summer time traveling (imagine cooking something in it while you are traveling and arriving to your destination to find supper ready!) or just keep things hot for church or family potlucks.

I use mine for all kinds of cooking all the time. Have for years. I also use it to keep Freezer items bought at the store cold when I bring them home. You can even keep a pail of ice cream ROCK hard when traveling to a family reunion or something. It will stay frozen for more than 24 hours. As long as you keep the lid on!

And it saves on energy, cause you can COOK --- slow cook in it all day long. With NO electricity. Of course you have to bring it to a full heat first......but it saves on fuel if you have a power outage.

Oh sorry.......I get carried away. Just check it all out here (links below)! Recipes included. Of course there are all kinds of sites out there if you google Wonder box, but the ones below are the best, I've found.

Or you can go and print of sewing instruction and recipes here (this is where my yogurt by the gallon is found) :

Let me know if you have any questions.

P.S. And how I made cheese from my yogurt, go here:

One more P.S.

I should let you know.......that I just get an empty "apple or banana box" from the grocery store.....the kind with "handles" on it for carrying. I put my wonder box in there for easy transporting. And then I put an old towel over the top lid so keep it all snug as a bug in place.

You can see a picture of what mine looks like here:

And if you don't have the time to sew or get all the supplies you need just yet to make a wonder box, try this recipe using a slow cooker or crockpot to make yogurt:

And here's an old link to my recipes:

Okay. I will leave you alone now. ; D
