Santa Fe Lake

One Sunday afternoon in late April 2022, we went to check out this waterfall and lake some kid had been telling Isabel all about.  Not so impressive when it's manmade and half of it is a concrete wall.  Yes, this earned the derision of my Kansas-hating children.  But we had fun anyway.  I really do/did try to point out all the positives in Kansas as well.  Promise.

I love my kids!  And I love Jubal too despite him refusing to be in the picture.

Of course, much frog catching ensued.  Our new favorite app (at that point) was iNaturalist, where you can take photos and look up the names of the things you see.

More of April 2022

Aww, we love having the missionaries over.
Sea-Bass!!!! 😂

I planted stuff (and I'm shocked how much grew back this year 2023!)

Elena went to help babysit and got to feed the lemurs too! I think this lady in our ward had a new baby and was overwhelmed on her own with all her little ones.

I love this drawing by Efraim!

Easter and April 2022

Someone left eggs ALL over our front lawn.  We still don't know who.  It was really sweet though.

Easter Sunday!

I think these were Isabel's/
Efraim's?  Maybe Jubal's?
I think this was Nicolas.
Library day!
Poor kid.  All tired our from pre-k.
Jubal lost a tooth.

I like our bird feeder but I always forget to fill it, even though we have a huge bag of bird seed.
The lobby in the elementary school is pretty cool.

I think Jubal caused this.
Love my gnome.
Very colorful.
My rhubarb was growing!!! (I bought it for Wyoming.). It subsequently died.  Along with all the raspberries I planted.  The zinnias did great.
At the elementary school.  Jubal insisted.

That eye.  Man.

Elena made a cell cake for school.
Leo and Sebastian drove up to Minnesota to pick up the trailer we bought.

It's pretty sweet. It could have been made with a kitchen and bed, showers, generators, etc, but we when bare so that we could use it to move furniture and stuff.  Plus we'd never all fit in it and we already have TONS of camping gear--we just needed something to haul that all in.
Smaug likes general conference.

A tree frog the boys caught.

Spring in Wichita is gorgeous btw.  It lasts SOOO long and there's tulips and peonies and all the pretty flowers.  I love this about Kansas.
