La Feria de Abril, Sevilla

I decided last spring to make Elena's and Isabel's costumes the same as the costumes you'd see at the Feria de Sevilla. Someday I'm going to go to this festival. I mean who wouldn't want to go to a gigantic party for a week where dancing, wearing ruffley dresses and guys in tight pants are the highlights? I've already picked out my dress. This one. Hee. Hee. I could pull it off, eh? I might have to wear a wig, but hey, I did that for my wedding, so why not here?

My two locitas are ready to go.

These are the few pictures I based their costumes after.

See they'd fit right in. I just need a couple more pieces of jewelry.
I love it! Anyway, I thought they turned out well, since I had absolutely no pattern. However, I never want to sew ruffles again. It was amazing the amount of yardage that went into those little dresses, and how heavy they are.
But hopefully they'll fit into them again next year.

These girls are crazy, the only way I was able to get them to hold still at all was to bribe them with oodles of chocolate chips.

Sorry, way to many pictures, but I couldn't resist!
