Cirque of the Towers and Texas Pass, Wind Rivers 2021

The third day we headed to Texas Pass and the Cirque of the Towers.

It was a kissy sort of day but Leo and I did not get the memo.  What a wasted opportunity.

See kissing on the shores of Shadow Lake.

And then hiking by Billy's Lake.

Billy's Lake is gorgeous!

I think this is actually on the way back, but I already spent forever trying to get these pics in relative order and this is one pic to many to rearrange.

The ground here was so weird.  It just looked like a grassy field but up close it was clumps of grass surrounded by water.

Texas Pass or Where Leo Wrecked His Knees Again.
I think bouldering is fun.

Action shot of Leo's knees being wrecked.

We made it to the top.  And it was pretty brutal.

We could zoom in and see rock climbers on the top of this peak.  Pingora Peak I think?
Lonesome Lake looked pretty from above.

Cirque of the Towers in all it's glory.

Heading down we actually found the trail.  That might have helped Leo rather than bouldering across.

Texas Lake was excellent for ice therapy on those knees.

Do like the picture of Megan taking the pictures of us above?

It was tiring day.
We met up with Mom's friend from Hyrum again.  He asked if there was a quicker way back to his campsite and we told him about the hill we had scrambled down the morning before and Kayli said he could Man From Snowy River it. He didn't think that was a good idea.  So no, there was no quicker way back.
Megan took a picture of me taking the picture above.  Hee. Hee.

Jared somehow had the energy to go fish some more.  And then he shared his little fish with us.  And I'm not joking, they were the best fish I've ever had. Although hunger is the best seasoning, as they say.
