Yuba Lake State Park

We camped Friday and Saturday night at Yuba Lake State Park.  It's not really the prettiest; we actually wanted to stay at Palisade State park but it was full; but the sunset sure helped it win approval from me.  Also the beaches were super sandy and the kids LOVED that.  So that was really nice too.  Also fish were jumping constantly!!  The kids loved that too.
We set up camp, had hot dogs and smores and I read some of the Hobbit to them by flashlight around the fire.  It was great day!

The next day Uncle Ethan and Aunt Kourtney joined us to play on the beach, and then after lunch Aunt Megan and a few of her kids arrived.  I don't think I have any pictures with them.  And then in the evening we changed and went to Manti to watch the last ever Manti Miracle Pageant.  Megan was sweet enough to save seats while Leo and I watched her kids and got dinner for everyone from the food trucks.  The kids then played at the playground till it was time for the pageant.  Efraim was crazy during the pageant--not crying, laughing and being exuberantly happy.  And Jubal fell asleep but was totally riveted to it until he crashed.  When the Nephites turned evil (there was a whole evil idol worshipping dance) he said, "I HATE evil."  He said it was scary.  Then on Sunday morning we headed home.

Ode to Cotton Candy as expressed by Jubal.

And Bridal Veil Falls that we passed on the way home.
