And the quarantine ended.

Efraim is soo soooo sooooooo cute!!!

More blocks.
Elena was able to go back to school before everyone else because she was the one tested.  But out last day of quarantine coincided with her last basketball home game so Leo and I went to watch.  She was a trooper to go play, but had a pretty rough time since she had never played before and didn't have any friends on team.

And Leo and I also went to Elena's Christmas Choir Concert.  She's been getting to school an hour early Tues-Thurs to do choir.  She's been sooo busy.  But she sounded so great!!!

Covid Quarantine Continued

More fun during our Covid quarantine.  We made sugar cookies and decorated them the next night.

And I made a bunch of tagine for our meal exchange.

Leo grew a beard.
I made a new sign for our house.
Sebas made pumpkin muffins, and we discovered why it's important to add eggs.
I made a new stocking for Leo since Jubal had drawn on his with a sharpie several years ago.
Isabel was great and played with the kids a lot.  Elena and Sebas both read a lot--I promised anyone that read two books a week during quarantine that I would buy them something nice.  They were the only two who took me up on it.
I started Christmas chocolates--Cayenne Pepper Dark Chocolate Truffles.

And there was a lot of dominoes.

O Christmas Tree

This is the first year ever in my life cutting down our own tree.  Well Leo cut it down, but I helped pick it out.  It was lots of fun although I wish we had gone out there sooner so we could have found a hill to sled on.  We did get to see a beautiful moonrise though.

Quarantined Thanksgiving

The week before Thanksgiving we became easy to find because we stayed home for three weeks.  Yep, Covid finally hit us.  Elena had a fever and I knew cases were up at her school so I took her to be tested and sure enough, she had Covid 19.  She was sick for all of one day and slept most of it.  And then she was fine.  We had a great time at home the first week, but after that they had me tested at work and so I had to go back to work, and that stunk.  My covid-cation was cut too short.  Poor Leo was stuck at home doing his work online and trying to get the kids to do their schoolwork.  Isabel eventually came down with Covid too and lost her sense of smell, but she was better in a day as well.  I tried to get it to go around all of us by passing around a cup that Elena had drunk from, but none of the rest of us got it.  I know I didn't because I've been tested twice a week since then.  So anyway, Thanksgiving with my family was cancelled, but we had a delicious dinner at our house.

See it was lovely.

While Covid-home-bound I finished this quilt and another.
Efraim loves to paint.
I also painted/stained our kitchen pendent lights--they were bright gold and I wanted them more bronze.  And then I had to paint the ceiling too.
Jubal's note to Leo.  ðŸ˜†
My cute boys.
Here's the other quilt.  I like the Zion one better.
Sebastian made a truck with blocks.
