Day 4: Bryce Canyon National Park

So after this HUGE number of photos--how can a photo not turn out beautiful in a place like Bryce Canyon?--here's a little about the day.  We camped at Ruby's for two nights (our least favorite campground--packed in like sardines, very much an RV/tourist trap) but it did have a swimming pool that everyone swam at once we were back from Bryce Canyon, and I did do a batch a laundry there which was nice since Jubal had thrown up in the car at one point and Lando had peed his pants while asleep on his booster seat, and I only have two pairs of pants.  Also, we could catch the shuttle in to Bryce Canyon directly from the campground.  So that morning after finishing the laundry, we caught the shuttle into Bryce, and stopped to pick up Junior Ranger books.  Only they were having their annual Geology Festival and had tons of booths with things for the kids to do.  So we spent the whole morning there.  I wasn't exactly pleased, because we were IN Bryce Canyon and should be enjoying the park.  But the kids loved it so we stayed.  Then we went and hiked Navajo Loop and Queen's Garden Loop combined.  The Mossy Cave and Bristlecone Trail can't be accessed by the shuttle and so while we had considered doing those hikes, we didn't.  We were tired out by then anyway. After, when we went back to the ranger's station to get their badges, the ranger added in the pledge that they needed to give their mom lots of hugs and be nice to their siblings, so Lando gave me no less than 4 hugs even before we left the building.  That kid makes my heart melt.  Plus he gives me flowers he picks wherever we go, despite me trying to teach him to leave them for others to enjoy.     But secretly I love it. :)  So after swimming and dinner that night, tempers flared and we decided that it would be better for everyone if we just headed to Phoenix the next day instead of going to Zion's National Park.  Our original itinerary  is below for the next couple of days, but instead we headed straight to Phoenix on Sunday morning.  That night we stayed at my sister Amy's house and the next day after dropping off Ana and her things at her sister Natalia's house, Leo decided to go to Payson.  That's the next post.  I have no pictures from Sunday, but it was fun to see Amy and her kids and their new house.  Jubal cracked us up, because he saw Danica Barney (another cousin) and immediately started yelling and searching for Anders (her younger brother). He was so sad that Anders was in Utah.
Oh, and if you're interested, I had all the meals prepared/prepped/cooked beforehand in a bag with all the things for that particular meal in our huge cooler.  I froze them all, so it helped keep things cold as well.  I also had made 15 loaves of bread and for lunch everyday we had jam and/or Nutella sandwiches, fruit rollups, granola bars, apples and then I made my own huge ( in a Sam's Club Animal Cracker container) trail mix with Goldfish, M&M's, the best corn nuts from Kitchen Kneads, a few leftover almonds from Christmas baking, animal crackers, Craisans and sunflower seeds.  It worked really well. But due to the changes, I ended up giving two meals to Amy, and we had the breakfast burritos at her house for breakfast, which everyone loved, and then by the time we got home a week later we hadn't used 6 loaves of bread (we used about a loaf and a half a day making sandwiches) and they had all gone moldy.
