An Evening of Dance: All Creatures Great and Small

On Friday, Leo and I took Ana and Elena to a BYU Young Dancemakers performance. It was all kids between the ages of 5-18. Leo and I were both so impressed!!! Ana and Elena loved it too, although, it could have ended at the intermission (the songs after that were by the older kids and more...modern? and long.) Anyway, Elena was mesmerized the whole time and kept trying to dance by her chair.

She was scared of this dragon though. It's eyes glowed in the dark when the lights turned off. Hee. Hee.

My favorite performance was definitely the Chickens and Coyotes performed to Carmen. There were a bunch of chickens in tutus dancing on the stage for a while. And then they left and coyotes came on, and then they left and the chickens were back. And finally the coyotes came back disguised with chicken tutus over their coyote costume and well, it ended badly for the chickens. So funny. The audience was laughing out loud. We were all laughing out loud in a Noah and the ark song too. Very funny.

I really want to put Elena in dance classes. She loves it so much. Maybe this winter I'll scrounge up the money somehow. And with that, goodnight.

Oh, and I love BYU. It's the best living here.
