The morning we drove to Paso del Angel, we followed Google Maps. That was a mistake.
Although it did take us through some gorgeous scenery, and some fields of marijuana, we spent about 2 and ½ hours wandering. Waze is the way to go. Or better yet, a combination of Waze and Google Maps.
That yellow portion I circled is where we were supposed to be going.
Helpful.
We did eventually make it, and then driving back to our Airbnb, we took a different route using Waze, and it took all of 30 mins to get there. Lovely.
The "SUV" we rented was so lame. It had no clearance whatsoever. We actually had to get out and push the car out of a rut at one point during this debacle. The road at that point was disappearing into nothingness so Leo tried to turn around and really there was just no good options at that point. It wasn't in the above photo, fyi, I didn't take a photo where we were pushing the car. Leo wasn't really in the mood for a photo then. 😂

This is a ridiculously long video, no one will actually want to watch it. But it's where we were driving.
I'm a mom and a nurse, hopefully decent at both but that's debatable. I love history and family history and blogging is my way of keeping my family's history. Most of all, I love Leo (mi papacito esposo de Colombia) and Ana, Elena, Isabel, Sebastian, Nicolas, Jubal, and Efraim (mis hijos). My other passion is also dark and rico and from South America--that would be chocolate. Basically I like to eat chocolate, eat chocolate icecream, eat frozen hot chocolates from Dairy Queen, eat Peppermint Yorks, Junior Mints, and of course dark chocolate truffles. Okay, now that I've wiped the slobber off my chin from thinking about all of that, I'll get on to the rest of my blog. Oh, and I'm trying to learn Spanish but spend too much time blogging/sewing/reading/sewing instead.
