The Roses!!!!!

The Botanical Gardens had the most beautiful roses I had ever seen in my life.  And while some of the gardens were underwhelming (mostly though I realized later that none of this is usually watered and Bogotá was in a major drought right then--I know it doesn't look it, but it was--and so all the dead grass and plant areas were likely due to the drought) the roses did not disappoint and were far prettier than anything I ever saw at the Chicago Botanical Gardens and I loved that place.  Also, this is the only way we ever got Jubal to stay in a photo. 😒

This was Sebastian's go-to photo face for a while.  Just know that for every photo I have of him looking like this,  I could have put in 3 more.
I mean these roses look photo shopped in, but the photo doesn't even do them justice.

Apparently when posting photos of roses I ignore all the yellow ones, despite me liking them as much as red and pink and coral ones in real life, and only deign to post the photos of peachy pink and red ones.

Seriously, unreal.
😍😍😍
Look how massive that bloom is!
Really, I shouldn't be surprised that Colombia grows beautiful roses because for decades it supplied almost 70% of all flowers sold in the United States.
Oh, I also love white tinged with pink.
Both Leo and I agreed that this red rose was the most beautiful color of red we'd ever seen in a rose.  But yet in the photo, it just looks like every other red rose.  But seriously in real life, it was stunning.
Okay, I'll stop carrying on about roses now.
