And Still More of the Botanical Gardens

The rest of the gardens were huge with a bunch of different sections.
This part was cool and one of my favorite parts.

Then there was deserty section.

I like this photo.
Again, my favorite pill flowers.

Efraim was thrilled to catch a butterfly. Not this one, but a different one.  He's like a butterfly whisperer.
And then there was a huge food garden.  That was really neat too, I liked it because most botanical gardens I've been to ignore that, and I loved seeing how they designed it and made it practical too.

Pre-columbian house.
Part of the herb garden.
I don't know what these are.
The boys immediately started building things with leaves are rocks even though I tried fruitlessly to dissuade it.
Weird fuzzy purple plant.  It looked like velvet.

Canna.
I think orangey-pink flowers are my favorite color combination.

I want these in my garden.
Colombia's version of totem poles.

This is my favorite tree in Colombia.  It looks like a Dr. Seuss tree.
See the puff ball pine branches?!?
Elena for scale.
And the weird, weird, weird bark.

And then we had to stop for restrooms.  I don't even think we saw all of the botanical gardens.  Maybe the next time we go to Bogotá.

And selfies just for fun.
