Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park

The next day we went to Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park.  Elena went with Aunt Brooke to go shopping for the wedding with Maloree.  And we brought Karlee with us.  I was silly and didn't bring the kids' swimsuits even though I knew they would swimming in the Milk River.  And it was the HOTTEST day of the whole summer.  Seriously.

Those darn Canadian beavers--they're more ferocious than they let on!
x

We started a hike but only went about 10 minutes before we were all melting and so we turned around and drove to the point that was only a little ways from the rock art.

Hoodoos are fun!

This is where I started yelling at them to get away from the ledge.

Poor Karlee, Sebastian wouldn't stop talking about rattlesnakes and she was NOT happy about that.

They were really hard to see, sadly.

And then we drove through a massive hailstone on the way home.  I love prairie storms. :)
