The last of the Summer Labs

  

 I can't remember what happened to poor Efraim's face.  But I think he fell once and Jubal pushed him once, so it was a double whammy to the same side.  Maybe that was it....

 I wanted to do more art labs but my kids were attracted to fire and water balloons.  This lab had to do with heat transfer.  We also froze a water balloon and held that over a candle too.

 I did get them to do water color painting--it was a blending exercise.  Pretty cool to do them all at once so we could compare the different shapes of the crystals etc.


 And then all sorts of crystal.  Sugar crystals stink by the way.  But we used borax and salt and epsom salts and alum.
Our geodes didn't turn out that well.
