Ana's Seventeen!!!!!
Ana turned 17!!!! CRAZINESS!!! She wanted Navajo tacos and picked out an extremely rich and delicious chocolate truffle cake, only she wanted Ferrero Rochers on it. Good choice, Ana, good choice. It was a crazy busy night that night with soccer practice, Leo helping someone move, appointments, FHE, etc. So not very many pictures. But we gave her two tickets to a Real Salt Lake game with an addendum that she could choose something else of similar value but she was actually happy with the tickets. Yay!!

New Maxi Dress otherwise known as a Russian Settlers dress ;)
I made a new dress for me, and I wanted something simple after trying to make a pattern sloper for myself and failing (from a Craftsy class, I will try again, but time is my enemy.) And anyway, something comfy and that I could nurse in and this fit the bill. I know it's not super flattering, but when you're 40 lbs overweight, what is? I love the color and the gathers at the back. And I CAN nurse in it--there was even a note in the pattern on how to make it nursing friendly, sweet eh?

Sebastian's Shark Birthday Party
Sebastian turned seven, which means he got to have a birthday party. Yay!! He really didn't have many ideas of what he wanted besides a piñata (he wanted that for over a year) and then just a month or two before, decided he wanted a swimming party. Serendipity abounded--they finished the new pool, I got a shark piñata on clearance at Shopko, and so ta-da, a shark themed party came about. I copied invitations off of pinterest, of course, and copied Megan's awesome birthday cake for Anders, and bought a few favors off of Amazon: a Dover Sharks of the World coloring book, shark teeth necklaces, shark tattoos, and a little squirty shark, and shark candy. And then the kids just swam, we had cake and juice and broke the piñata, and it was wonderful. Sebastian loved it.
