Beehives and Mosaic

Today I did my hair in a beehive for fun.  It worked out pretty good.  Although I had to clip on a big flower to cover all the bobby pins.  And then I had to change my clothes to match the flower.  Anyway, for posterity, here's my hair, in a beehive.

And for Andrea, here's the mosaic I made in high school.  I took me over a year.

 And some cut-work.  The end.

Swimming

My really good friend Brittney has been so nice to keep inviting us over to her mom's house.  Her mom is really nice too--to let us invade with so many kids.  Anyway, we've gone over there a couple times after school to swim.  It has been so nice!  My kids love it.  And Brittney's kids get along great with my kids.  And her mom has tons of chocolate she keeps trying to get rid of and so Brittney gives me a bag full every time we go over there.  Seriously, what could be better?
Brittney's younger brother taught Isabel and Sebastian swimming lessons, before he left on his mission to Brazil.
Brittney's mom is awesome. She told me how she ended up with all the chocolate that she wants to get rid of--she dumpster dived for it!  She was down in Rice Village with friends and they were going to stop at her favorite chocolate shop, only it was closing down and the owners were taking garbage bags full of European chocolate to the dumpsters because they had to be out of the building the next day.  And she came back later and had her son or husband or someone (I don't remember) go into the dumpster and fish out a couple huge bagfuls and her friends that she was with, they split it between them, but she still took a bag home.  I laughed so hard.  What a waste of chocolate!

Elena and Nicolas were so cute!!!!

Talmage's Flying Squirrel dive--that's what he calls it.
