Sebastian's birthday was awesome, but he already had his present at Christmas--Smaug! He did get a leash for Smaug though, with wings for good measure.
He also asked for a jungle cake. Seriously so fun to make!
His leash didn't come till the day after unfortunately, so he had to open it a day late.
Smaug modeling his wings.
He chose fish and Cesar salad and green grapes. So we had Mahi Mahi with mango salsa. So delicious. I like Sebas's birthdays!
The very beginning of March we took the oldest kids to Tale of Two Cities at the Hale Theater and then we went to Crown Burger after. It was a really fun night. The kids thought it was cool to see the stage and set but Sebas said, "It was a lot of singing."
Elena had her strings concert. Leo went to that one.
The weather is finally warming up, so I dragged them to the park one Sunday afternoon.
All the fun pictures from Jubal's kindergarten class!
Myles finished his mission to Taiwan, so we had a blast at his homecoming party. And then the party continued at Megan's after, where Megan cheated ridiculously in Code Names, but as she was on my team, I didn't complain too much.
Yummy Smoked Haddock salad with a poached egg. So good.
In February we went for a quick overnight trip to Kayli's for Wyatt's baptism. Navy and Efraim are the cutest best friends ever!! The boys went sledding after and Kayli and I mixed paint, trying to find the perfect color for her walls.
I think this is a fairly accurate description of me.
Elena and Isabel made a cake. I can't remember why. But they did a good job!
Efraim being silly.
Sebastian made it to the district spelling bee.
And more Covid memes.
I made a bustle for me!!!
The boys are cute!
I FINALLY finished the quilt for Megan. Yay!!!
Sebas's weird arm.
The girls' were also doing swim team, and did so good!! Leo made it to a meet but didn't take pictures.
I'm a mom and a nurse, hopefully decent at both but that's debatable. I love history and family history and blogging is my way of keeping my family's history. Most of all, I love Leo (mi papacito esposo de Colombia) and Ana, Elena, Isabel, Sebastian, Nicolas, Jubal, and Efraim (mis hijos). My other passion is also dark and rico and from South America--that would be chocolate. Basically I like to eat chocolate, eat chocolate icecream, eat frozen hot chocolates from Dairy Queen, eat Peppermint Yorks, Junior Mints, and of course dark chocolate truffles. Okay, now that I've wiped the slobber off my chin from thinking about all of that, I'll get on to the rest of my blog. Oh, and I'm trying to learn Spanish but spend too much time blogging/sewing/reading/sewing instead.
"Managing a home involves much more than keeping a house clean, organized, and attractive. These skills are important...but these skills are only a means to an end. The paramount objective is to create a setting where family and friends are comfortable and happy, where there are good dinners and good times, where there is fun and laughter, where children acquire good habits and are taught life skills and how to be self-reliant and responsible, where challenges are faced by coupling temporal endeavors with eternal perspectives, where joy through gospel teaching and living prevails, where kindness and respect reign supreme, where love is strong enough to bind the family forever, and where children are nurtured toward eternal life."
