Museum of World Treasures Christmas Party and Career 180

So while we were off gallivanting during the summer, Leo was home working extremely long hours at his job.  A job he had grown to dislike immensely.  He had worked hard to reach his position as plant manager, only to discover that he really disliked managing.  He's a people person and everyone loved him as a manager, but he often felt stuck between corporate and the guys at his work, where he wanted to improve things and couldn't. Corporate would promise things like money for renovations on clearly needed maintenance and then not follow through, or like one silly example, they wanted him to make the foyer more inviting but then only paid for painting it.  So it remained empty and uninviting as always.  Just random stuff like that, although clearly maintenance issues on the actual facility were much higher priority and also ignored.  And then of course there's so much infighting and squabbles between coworkers, etc, anyway, he was hugely stressed and not happy.  And simultaneously there was a massive pilot shortage.  We discussed things and I completely agreed that switching back would be great for him.  I did want him to wait till after he got his yearly bonus but the bonus Envoy was offering only was good till December and was more than his bonus would have been, so we jumped on it and Leo started pilot training at Envoy in December.  But before he left his job he did plan a holiday party for his company at the Museum of World Treasures for everyone and their families.  So this is us there.  It was a weird day because Leo knew he was leaving in a couple weeks but no one at work knew yet.  Anyway, it was weird museum too. Odd collection.  But yeah, Leo did a 180 degree career change.  And I decided to go back to work to save up money as well, for moving.  BUT also, we started thinking about moving to Colombia once Leo was flying.  Initially we thought about going the in 2024, but then we realized it would be hard for Elena then, because she would be out of high school in Colombia (still in high school in the States), so we were debating that at this time too.  Basically, our lives felt kind of completely up in the air at this point.

The kids did a scavenger hunt which they loved.

This was a WWI trenches exhibit.

Okay, all these clothes are just reference for me.

But here's Leo off to training for a bit in December.  I can't remember how long or what it was then, but so dejá vu dropping him off at the airport.  Crazy.
