Efraim's 6th Birthday 2023

Efraim wanted gems and sea shells  for his birthday so I decided to get him a pirate's chest full of treasure--it had a map and dubloons too!  And it was perfect because he fit the pirate costume I made perfectly.  

He also got this construction kit from Abuelita and Abluelito.

He really liked his pirate chest.  I knew he'd like something to keep his treasures in.  He's a collector.  

Macaroni and cheese with hotdogs was the dinner of choice.

I talked him into this cake because it was so fun and the cake he wanted was way above my skill level. 

I made some extra cupcakes too and took them to our visiting teaching families. 

This was the sea shell I bought for him, but Aunt Lindsay sent a whole bunch that her kids collected in Florida.  He was thrilled to get that package!!!

I don't know what they were supposed to dressed up for Spirit Week.  I think Elena was supposed to wear a band shirt, but I don't remember what the rest were.

Efraim for 100 days of school.  He's so cute, even old and wrinkly. 

After church madness. 

Isabel went to go hang out with her friends and they took a bunch of photos of the sunset and climbed on hay bails and had a great time.   

See?  Good times. 

I thought it was hilarious that the kids' school had a Spirit Week just for Super Bowl, because KC Chiefs were playing in it.  

I love this movie. 

So my niece Hazel cleans classrooms at BYU and she posted a picture of this because she thought it was funny.  And then I was like I think I know that kid.  So I talked to his mom, and yep, I did know them from Houston, but they had moved to Idaho.  And then I made Hazel go on a date with him, because obviously, he's the Rizzard of Oz.  He wanted to go on another, but she turned him down.  Too bad, because Dawn would have been the best mother-in-law ever!!

YM and YW Temple Trip

On Jan. 7th the older kids went on a temple trip down to the Oklahoma City Temple.  These are the pictures I got back from that.  Here's Kami H. and Isabel. 

 

Ice Skating Jan 2nd, 2023

Dad finally had a day off work, so we decided to go do something fun.  Ice skating was voted the winner!  It was really fun.  I think Jubal struggled the most, but everyone else picked it up and Efraim had a little support thing.  Ice skating is great--I love the speed.   It was a good day.
