Visit to Evanston

After a busy weekend, we *stayed* busy by heading to Evanston on Tuesday to visit our amazing friends there!  Sometime while Leo was in Utah, we stopped and visited the Powells too.  This is the  sunset is on the drive back to Megan's on Monday.

First we met up with the Hughes, and we headed to Bear River so Will and Sebas could go crawdad fishing and Becca and I could chat on the shore.

Why we didn't spend more time in the river when we lived there is totally unknown to me.  What a waste.

Yes, they caught a TON!  99.5 to be exact.  Apparently one was in the process of eating another.
Counting Crawdads Video
Jason and Jubal got to play too.  They were so happy to hang out again.

Elena met up with her friends, and I have no pictures but the Rasmussen's invited us to eat at their house, which was fun and Isabel got to hang out with Raquel.
And another stunning sunset driving back to Megan's.

Yeah, no pictures with the Rasmussens, but I taped their house because I love how they redid it.  So gorgeous.

July at Megan's House

Sunday night we headed to Megan's house where we spent pretty much the rest of July.  I took my kids and Devaney to swimming lessons in Ogden for Megan.
My good friend Jessica Powell (we were besties in Rawlins) also had her kids in swimming lessons at the same time!!!  Crazy coincidence!!!
As always, the toy jeep is the favorite toy at Megan's house.

The kids earned Jake's Over the Top shakes (I can't remember for what), so after swimming lessons one day, we stopped to pick them up.

I helped Megan faux stain her door.

Kayli came down for Megan's mini trek she had planned for the ward's youth. I think she was primary president at the time.  She had the YM/YW be the ma's and pa's and they hiked from the church up the mountainside to someone's property and had a dutch oven dinner.  Megan is amazing.  I wish I had half her drive and ability to organize.
The ma's and pa's were so sweet with the little nursery kids (yes, they also came) and basically the teenagers just carried them the whole way.

I have no idea where this was or why we saw it.

Awww, Isabel looking so cute!

Megan's trek talk!!  ❤️❤️

July 24th in Mendon!

There was no blood, stitches, vomit, ER visit, etc.  Such a tame Pioneer Day.  I'm so glad for that.  Only I couldn't walk well due to dancing on my sprained ankle the night before. Oops.  Anyway, I love Mention's Pioneer Day celebrations.  Their giant race is the GOAT!  A bunch of my kids participated this time, which they were very excited about.

Orrin and Sebas, we feed them, I promise.
I love Cottonwood trees, they make me feel at home.
Sno-cones are a must.
As is face paint.

Fire truck and fire.
Cyborg.
And wolf.
The dance was kind of a let down because I just wanted a regular dance. BUT it did get a ton of people dancing to do a giant screen of Just Dance playing. Efraim was out there going strong for a LONG time.

And then the fireworks were great. We were so close ash was falling all over us.

I wanted a reference for anyone looking to *try* to be as awesome as Mendon.

And these were just funny from Facebook.
