Elena's San Antonio Trip and more of March

Elena went to San Antonio with the high school orchestra.  She had a fun time!

Her teacher, Chris Lovell, is awesome!  My kids love him.

I finished the three BYU classes I had signed up for the year before.  I made myself a desk in my room, because it's the sunniest spot.
Growing plants!
Leo cut down the dead branch in our tree--it was dangerously close to our roof.

The neighbor helped Leo with his truck.

Kansas has sadly been a disappoint in thunderstorms.  We've only had a handful in a year and a half.  It was one of the things I was excited for--I loved the thunderstorms in ND and TX.

March 2022

Nicolas and Jubal made bows and arrows in activity night at church.

We drove down to Oklahoma for Myle's open house (his wife is from there).  It was sad because it made us miss our family in Utah more.  Later I heard that Megan almost started crying when we arrived because she was sad we moved too.  No bueno.  We're super happy for Myles and Hailee though!

Nicolas crying about having to do dishes.  This was a weekly occurrence for months.  I'm quite happy to say that he doesn't do this anymore.
My plants I planted grew!

I went to listen to Elder Gong speak at our stake center.  These are some of my friends in Wichita.  The people in my ward are super nice.  They are definitely the best part of moving here.
A picture I uploaded of a great aunt became the center photo for the 1950 US census page for FamilySearch.  Ummm....they're Canadian.

During spring break, I took the kids swimming at one of the local YMCAs.  We mocked the place forever due to them having a sign up saying "No holding your breath" and "kids to be in arms length of parents" or something like that.  We kept having to leave for other classes and overall just made the kids  continually complain about Kansas.  Because it's definitely Kansas's fault. Sillies.  But Jubal drew this picture of himself with all his brothers and me.

The kids went to the Oklahoma City Temple.

The Exploration Place

I bought a family membership to the Exploration Place.  It was so worth it!!  We went every time the exhibition changed.  This first one was my very favorite though.  A really nice library is right by it too so we usually go both places.
Pretty Kansas sunset.
It was a survival exhibit.  And they had a mini ropes course to "survive" a volcano. The kids loved it, and the one time we went there was practically no lines so the went again and again and again.  Except poor Efraim who was too short.  And Isabel and Elena were kind of too tall so they only went once.

Efraim was a helper in the chemistry lab show.  He was so THRILLED.

Surviving on open sea.

They had a cpr/first aid part, and a surviving different landscapes (dessert, mountain, etc.) It was really fun, and the stories above are fascinating.
